InterNACHI®'s Free Negligent Referral Protection, in plain terms.
When you refer an InterNACHI® inspector, you're covered by a program that indemnifies you up to $10,000 if you're successfully sued for a negligent referral.
If a court enters a qualifying judgment against you for negligently referring an InterNACHI® member, InterNACHI pays the amount of that judgment — up to $10,000 per incident — to the extent your own insurance doesn't cover it. A few conditions apply:
- Be a licensed agent or broker at the time of the referral
- Refer an InterNACHI® member in good standing
- Residential inspections only (not commercial)
- A written inspection agreement is in place
- Register for the program before making the referral
- Coverage is $10,000 per incident
